C.G. Conn New Wonder IIはConnが製造したロングセラーモデルの後継機であり、1925年から1931年にかけて製造されたサックスです。
このモデルは特にジャズシーンで活躍したサックス奏者レオン・ブラウン・チュー・ベリー」が愛用していたことから、ヴィンテージ界隈では"Chu Berry"の愛称で親しまれています。これは正式なメーカー名ではなく、後にプレイヤーの影響で広まったニックネームです。
このモデルにはマイクロチューニングデバイスが搭載されており、細かいピッチ調整が可能です。これは現行モデルにはみられない機構であり、ヴィンテージならではの工夫が反映されています。
New Wonder IIの中でも"Artist Special"(アーティストスペシャル)という特別仕様のモデルはゴールドプレート仕上げが施され、美しい輝きを放っています。

History
The C.G. Conn New Wonder II is the successor to one of Conn’s long-running bestsellers and was produced from around 1925 to 1931.
This model gained particular fame in the jazz world thanks to legendary saxophonist Leon Brown "Chu" Berry, who was known for playing it. "Chu Berry" is not an official model name, but rather a nickname that became popular due to his association with the instrument.
One of the standout features of this model is the microtuning device on the neck, allowing for precise pitch adjustments—an innovative mechanism not found on modern saxophones.
Among the New Wonder II lineup, the "Artist Special" edition stands out with its beautiful gold-plated finish and elegant appearance.
